Hello, my name is Dale Rogalski,MA owner and psychotherapist at Inner Peace Behavioral Health in Wyandotte, Michigan. I have experience in helping clients with suicidal idealization and self-harm, sexual orientation and gender identity, personal and professional relationship challenges, emotional regulation, stress, anxiety, and depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance abuse, HIV/AIDS and LGBT issues. I believe in a collaborative, customized and multidimensional approach to therapy with each client.
Recent work and volunteer experience include the Macomb County Crisis Center and working with the Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb County area LGBT community focusing on transgender issues. My previous work experiences along with providing psychotherapy has provided me an appreciation and greater understanding of human behavior. I have provided clinical training on treating transgender clients to my colleagues at the private practice I worked at and at other local mental health agencies to educate clinicians in becoming more multiculturally competent with transgender individuals. I have sponsored Trans Talks events which entails a transgender guest speaker sharing their personal story at various community colleges and universities in Southeast Michigan.
I have served on the planning committees for Motor City Pride Detroit, World AIDS Day Detroit, and the One Campaign. Member of the American Psychological Association's divisions 1, 30, 32, 44 & 51 and a member of the Michigan Psychological Association. Additionally, proud member of the World Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and a facilitator for Stand with Trans transgender youth support groups in Wyandotte and Royal Oak, Michigan locations. I am currently a PhD student at the International Institute of Clinical Sexology (IICS) and recently completed my certification from The International Transgender Certification Association (ITCA) in Transgender Care.
I remain passionate in my continued work as a psychotherapist and advocate for the transgender community.
